We are renovating two bathrooms and our kitchen. We have a great contractor but all the design decisions are up to us and it very quickly became challenging to make final decisions on tile, fixtures, hardware, furniture, paint etc etc. I reached out to Cynthia and immediately felt relief. Cynthia is amazing! Prior to meeting for our initial 2 hour consultation, she assured me that the meeting would provide lots of specific ideas for furnishing and decorating our home. I fell in love with a home which was featured in the Spring 2018 Issue of Toronto Home Magazine and renovated by Cynthia Soda. After I purchased my home, I decided to give her a call. I am so happy to be working with her as she is absolutely amazing! Hiring Soda [Pop] Design, was the best decision of our lives. After many years of living in the builder style kitchen my husband and I decided to hire an Interior Designer. Cynthia came to our home for a consultation. We told her we did not want a traditional kitchen, and would love lots of drawers and a pantry. After our two hour meeting we hired her on the spot. She has designed our dream kitchen and we couldn't be happier.

We hired Soda Pop Design to help us redesign our first floor, with a primary focus on a complete renovation of our kitchen and the removal of two walls. Cynthia came up with two wonderful options to open up our space. In fact, they were both such great layout options that we had a hard time choosing between the two! Cynthia took the time to speak to us about our needs and go over the numerous images saved to our Houzz idea books.

Cynthia has a wonderful flair for design and sourced some lovely design elements for our kitchen, but was also able to work with finishes that we selected on our own with her consultation. Her attention to detail is amazing and provided our kitchen "with that little something extra." Cynthia presented some very creative design ideas that we would have never thought of on our own. We just wish we had the budget to execute on all of them!

Cynthia is very professional, organized and responsive. She did a wonderful job meeting all timelines. However, we were a bit disappointed that the final budget remained the same despite the exclusion of some of the large elements originally included in the quote. My understanding is that the removal of these areas did not have much impact on the overall picture (ie. budget). This was our first experience working with a designer, so perhaps this is the nature of the design world -- live and learn.

Overall, we were very happy with designs provided and were excited to see them come to life. We are thrilled with the final product and are thoroughly enjoying our new space!

I first worked with Cynthia on a total basement renovation in a house we purchased in 2015. In 2017, my plan was to renovate the existing Victorian style fireplace mantel and wall units (so very dated - see attached before photo) in our family room off the kitchen. At the same time, I wanted to update the lighting system and fixtures in both rooms. So, without hesitation, I called Cynthia again to provide design ideas and plans.
Like before, Cynthia was totally receptive to my vision of the fireplace and wall units and then offered her own ideas to enhance my vision...like the type and colour of stone for the fireplace mantel as well as design and functional items that had not occurred to me. As for the lighting system and fixtures, Cynthia provided lots of options...in terms of both selection and price range. She made the whole design and planning process so easy. In addition, she arranged for top-notch contractors (shout out to Soda Pop Construction, A. Scott Electric, Colclo Custom Woodworking and Fine Finish Wall Systems) to carry out the work.
Cynthia helped to make my vision a reality. I am extremely happy (like happy dance, happy) with end product and so enjoy being in our renovated family room - see attached after photo. I have one more renovation project pending and I will be calling on Cynthia once again for help with the design and planning process. Thank you again Cynthia!

We hired this Company to design our new kitchen. Our kitchen was completely gutted and a retaining wall taken down for expansion. The designs presented to us were incredible. We were shocked at the level of detail included. The design was more than we could have wished for. The Company made some great suggestions such as removing the bulkhead to extend the height of the cabinetry, adding more glass door pantry space, an extended countertop for a seating area, a 7' island with under cabinets for more storage and a stunning granite top. They were so professional and prepared all the appropriate paperwork required for the permits required, handled and organized the contractors, electricians, plumbers etc. Every detail was handled taking the stress out of it for us. We went from a disfunctional 1980's ugly kitchen to a modern, georgous showpiece. I would definately recommend this Company to anyone.
