Custom Home Builds & Renovations
From early space planning through detailed construction documentation, we design homes with the whole picture in mind. Layouts, kitchens, bathrooms, custom millwork, lighting, finishes and furnishings are considered together so every decision supports a cohesive, highly functional home.
When to bring us in?
As early as possible. Ideally, before your architectural plans are finalized and major construction decisions are made. Early involvement allows us to influence space planning, furniture flow, millwork, lighting and functionality while changes can still be made thoughtfully—not expensively on site.
Bespoke Furnishings & Décor
A beautifully furnished home isn't created one piece at a time. We consider the entire room—scale, proportion, comfort, colour, texture and how you actually live—to create interiors that feel collected, cohesive and distinctly yours.
From furniture and custom upholstery to window treatments, lighting, art and accessories, every selection has a reason for being there.
When to bring us in?
Before you start shopping. A thoughtful furnishing plan helps avoid expensive mistakes, pieces that don't quite work together and rooms that never feel finished. We'll establish the direction first, then source intentionally to bring it to life.

Our comprehensive interior design process takes you from early concept and space planning through design development, documentation, selections and construction support—with every phase building intentionally on the one before it.
In other words? We think through everything from moving walls to fluffing that final pillow.
INTERIOR DESIGN SERVICES | OUR PROCESS
The Consultation is where we dig in.
During this focused session, Cynthia will walk through your space, priorities, challenges and investment expectations, offering high-level design direction and identifying opportunities you may not have considered.
Depending on your project, we may discuss:

Space planning and furniture layouts

Kitchens, bathrooms and custom millwork

Overall design direction

Furnishings and custom upholstery

Lighting, window treatments, art and décor

Project priorities and investment allocation
Where applicable, Cynthia will also review architectural drawings and take preliminary measurements required to prepare a Design Fee Proposal.
Investment: $895 + HST for up to two hours, in person within 50 km or virtually.
Virtual Consultation: $500 + HST for up to one hour, recommended for one to two rooms or clients outside the GTA.
Following your consultation, you'll receive a written recap of the recommendations discussed and, where appropriate, a customized Design Fee Proposal outlining the recommended scope for moving forward.
Design Concept & Development
This is where possibilities become a plan.
We explore and resolve the layout, architectural elements, millwork, finishes, fixtures, lighting and furnishings required for your project, developing each decision as part of one cohesive design.
Depending on your scope, this may include:

You'll understand how the pieces work together before construction begins—giving you, your contractor and your trades a clear design direction to follow.
Construction Support
& Procurement
A resolved design is only as successful as its execution.
During construction, we remain available to support the design intent—answering design-related questions, reviewing relevant shop drawings and substitutions, and collaborating with your contractor, trades and fabricators as required by your project scope.
For furnishings and decorative elements procured through Soda Pop Design, we can also coordinate ordering, receiving, delivery and installation.
Our role is to steward the design we've created while working collaboratively with the professionals responsible for building it.
And then comes one of our favourite parts: bringing everything together. Where installation and styling are included in your scope, we place the furnishings, art and finishing details that transform a completed project into a home.

A Note About Investment
Comprehensive interior design is a significant professional service and our engagements are tailored to the scope and complexity of each project. Full-service design engagements typically begin at $20,000 + HST in professional design fees, with larger renovations and custom homes representing a significantly greater design investment.
